The Asheville High Weight room recently received approximately $40,000 in equipment upgrades and replacement. The new weight equipment replaces 15-20 year old equipment, much of which was “hand me down” when it was received. Several contributors and sponsors donated the money needed to purchase the equipment.

Although the weight room has been refurbished in time for the upcoming football season, the weight equipment gets far more usage from people who are not part of the team.

AthleticNews  Asheville High School, along with the high schools in the Buncombe County School System, will have new artificial turf football fields in place for the next football season.
