Soccer Asheville--In perhaps the state's largest soccer rivalry game, Asheville tied Roberson 1-1 when the game was called due to weather conditions.

However, the game could have declared a Roberson victory by a score of 2-1. An official incorrectly awarded a goal to Roberson that hit the side of the net.  John Mitchell of T.C. Roberson attempted a header off of a corner kick that missed the goal.

Mitchell and Roberson coach Rob Wilcher corrected the official and refused the goal.

And another chapter of the Asheville-Roberson rivalry comes to a close with a sign of sportsmanship.

Football Asheville -- The Cougars bounce back after last week's loss to T.C. Roberson by shutting out the Erwin Warriors 28-0. The Cougars scored in every quarter dominating the game.

One of the most important developments to the Asheville season also took place at the Enka-T.C. Roberson game. Roberson was upset by Enka, allowing Asheville a chance to share the conference title should it defeat Franklin later in the season.
