February 3, 2011 - Head Coach Danny Wilkins and his staff recognized the 2010 MAC Champions Football Team and presented several individual awards at the annual football banquet Thursday Night held at the AHS Cafeteria.

The Asheville Cougars football team ended the 2010 season in a familiar place: deep in the 3A playoffs. The Cougars (10-3) lost 31-20 to Hibriten High School (12-2) of Lenoir in the third round (quarterfinals). Congratulations to the players and coaches for an extraordinary effort this season!
