Randy Cable, VP/GM of WISE 1310 AM, has announced that "Big WISE" will cover all Asheville High football games for the 2004 season. A pregame show, full game play-by-play and analysis, halftime scores/stats/updates, and a complete postgame show will be featured all season long. This is the first time the Cougars have had their own full-time radio coverage since the legendary Zeb Lee followed Asheville from 1947-1994 on WSKY.

 The Asheville High Booster Club sponsored a special tribute to honor Athletic Director Lou Fogle, who will retire at the end of the 2003-2004 school year. Fogle is completing his 18th year at Asheville High. As Cougar Head Football coach for 14 seasons, Coach Fogle never had a losing season, compiling a record 115 wins and only 44 losses. The Cougars won six conference Championships and advanced to the 3A State Championship Game in 1999.
