In today’s game we face Asheville School. In the Tuesday home game against the Christ Church School Cavaliers, Elizabeth Keil made the first goal in the eleventh minute of the game. The Cougars were scoreless until the last nine minutes when Elizabeth Keil scored three more goals, followed by a goal from Elizabeth Gaston.
The Thursday game at West Forsyth saw a scoreless first half. Elizabeth Keil scored in the first five minutes of the second half with a dive into the goal (along with many other team members!). Sarah Scanzoni scored midway through the second half. West Forsyth quickly answered with a goal. Kelly Olesiuk sealed the win, scoring our third goal in the last five minutes of the game.
The Cougars are now 6-1. In the past two games, our offense has been unstoppable in the last ten minutes of play! The Monday game at Patton was cancelled as this new school lacks goals. After traveling to Winston-Salem on Wednesday, our next home game will be Thursday, September 20 against Freedom.
