by Andrew Pearson, Asheville Citizen-Times CHARLOTTE - Asheville High rising senior Sophia Treakle came away from the USA Youth Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Sunday, June 29th, with a bronze medal and personal record in the 400-meter hurdles. Treakle's time of 1 minute, 1.11 seconds is the fastest run by a North Carolina girl this year and the fourth best in state history. University of Central Florida recruit Aisha Frazier, who hails from Marietta, Ga., won Sunday's race (59.94) at Charlotte's Belk Track.
