tennis Jerry Porter has been named the N.C. Tennis Coaches Association's Boys Coach of the Year. Porter coached the Cougars to a 19-1 record and the NCHSAA 3A Boys Dual Team Championship last spring. Porter will be formally honored by the NCTCA in January.
