The Asheville High boys and girls track and field teams completed their seasons at the NCHSAA 3A State Track Meet o­n May 22, 2004.  The boys team finished third and the girls team finished twenty-seventh.  The meet was held at Paul Derr Track o­n the NC State University campus.  Congratulations to all participants and coaches o­n a job well done!  Click o­n Read More for team and individual results.

After winning the MAC Conference championship, the Asheville High Lady Cougar Soccer team fell short in its quest for a State Championship, losing to rival T.C. Roberson 3-0 in the third round of the NCHSAA playoffs o­n May 19th.  The Lady Cougars finished the season at 20-4-2, with a #7 ranking in NC.  The game was taped for delayed broadcast by the Cougar Sports Network and will be shown nightly at 8:30 p.m. through May 25th.  Congratulations, Lady Cougars,on an outstanding season!  (Photo Credit: Asheville Citizen-Times)

The Asheville High Cougar baseball team defeated MAC Conference rival Erwin by a score of 11-4 in the regular season finale o­n May 11, spoiling Erwin's chances for a state playoff berth.  The game was taped for delayed broadcast by the Cougar Sports Network.
