First Wrestling Practice for 2008-2009 Season is Monday October 27th at 3:45. Anyone interested in wrestling or acting as a manager for the team needs to be at this practice. All wrestlers must have a physical completed before they can participate. Physical forms are available in Coach Wells’ office. Please see Coach Soboleski for more information.

September 4, 2008 - The Lady Cougars of Asheville High (2-1) defeated cross-town rival Carolina Day School (1-1) in field hockey by a score of 3-0 at Asheville High Memorial Stadium Thursday in their first meeting of the season. The teams meet again on September 8th at Carolina Day. The Cougar Sports Network was there to cover all of the action. Click the "On the Air" tab for broadcast times. News Release - October 30, 2008 - Asheville High School’s Field Hockey team finished regular season play on a cold and blustery Tuesday night with a 5 – 1 win at NW Guilford High School in Greensboro. This victory and a regular season record of 20 wins and 1 loss have earned the Cougars the Number 1 seed in the N.C. High School StateTournament.
