Soccer Asheville, NC - November 13, 2004 - Drew "Scooby" Meadows of the Asheville Cougars (21-2-2) scored in the second overtime to help defeat the two-time defending 3A State Champion Roberson Rams (21-3-3) by a score of 1-0.  Congratulations to the Cougars and Coach Mike Flowe o­n a total team effort!  The well-attended rivalry matchup was captured by the cameras of the Cougar Sports Network and will air nightly this week at 8:00 p.m. with a special Sunday Matinee at 2:00 p.m.  Tune in and see two celebrities (in addition to announcers Bob Somerville and Patrick Gladys):  Charles Thomas of the Atlanta Braves, a former AHS three-sport athlete, was a special guest for the broadcast, as was professional soccer player and former Roberson star David Testo.  The top-ranked Cougars will play Parkwood High (19-3-4) at home for the Western Regional Championship o­n November 17.  GAME TIME IS 6:00 P.M.
