Sylva, NC - September 10 - Johnny White led the top-ranked Cougars with 9 rushes for 169 yards and four touchdowns in a 55-6 rout over Smoky Mountain High School in the MAC Conference opener.  A driving rain began in the second quarter in Sylva, but it did not slow the Cougars' effort.  Crezdon Butler, Thaddeus Boyce and Dion Thomas also scored o­n offense, and Jovan Aiken ripped the ball away from the Smoky Mountain QB Matt Gibson and ran 42 yards for  the first score while o­n defense.  Asheville has scored 145 points in three games while allowing o­nly 19.
