November 8, 2008 - Charlotte Catholic (Ranked #1, and eventual 2008 3A Champion) defeated the Asheville Cougars in the quarterfinals of men's soccer play by a score of 6-0.  Asheville finished the season as MAC Co-Champions with a record of 21-5-1.  Congratulations!!

Kenneth Lingerfelt (Jr.) was named to the All-State Team by the N.C. Soccer Coaches Association.  Five Cougars were named to the All-Region team.
