 Asheville -- The Cougars finish their season 10-0 (6-0 in the MAC) and take the conference title after a 43-7 win over the North Buncombe Black Hawks during Parent's Night and their final regular season game. The win gives Asheville the conference title outright and guarantees a high playoff seed. The win over North Buncombe gives Asheville a 29-1 conference record since 2002, the only loss to Roberson in 2004. The Cougars maintain their streaks as #2 in the state in scoring in double digits and games not shut out. Congratulations Cougars! Asheville will play at home next Friday night, against an opponent to be decided this weekend. |
