Asheville - September 23, 2005 -
Crezdon Butler's 9 yard run in the third quarter against Freedom High established him as the all-time career rushing leader at Asheville High/Lee Edwards, surpassing the previous record of 4,005 yards held by
Charlie "Choo Choo" Justice. The game was halted and Butler was presented the game ball by Asheville Coach Danny Wilkins. Justice starred at Lee Edwards from 1940-42 and was one of the greatest players of all time at LEHS and UNC. Butler, a Clemson recruit, also has tremendous potential and we wish him the very best for the remainder of his high school career and beyond!
