Yes, We're Working o­n it . . .The Cougar Sports Network broadcast crew is making tentative plans to televise (via tape delay) the Women's 3A Basketball Championship game at Reynolds Coliseum in Raleigh o­n Saturday, March 12th.  Two things need to happen first:  (1) the Asheville Lady Cougars must defeat Fred T. Foard High o­n March 5th, and (2) final arrangements and approval must be secured from the North Carolina High School Athletic Association.  "The NCHSAA has a contract with an independent production company, but we have asked for permission to do our own broadcast," said Tim Amos, CSN Executive Producer.  "Rick Strunk (Associate Executive Director) of the NCHSAA has always been very accommodating in trying to work with us, so I am hopeful that this can be worked out.  We are so proud of the Lady Cougars' accomplishments and we want to be there for their third consecutive championship and the completion of an undefeated season."  As soon as a decision is made, it will be posted o­n this website.  Veteran announcers Scot Powell and Lewis Isaac will be there to call the action if everything falls into place.   Viewers may remember that Isaac predicted in last year's championship broadcast that the Lady Cougars would return to the championship game this year to complete an undefeated season.  Let's hope he's right!Anyone wishing to provide financial support for this endeavor should email Amos at tim (at) cougarsportsnet (dot) com.
